The much awaited Garena AOV is now available in the Philippines along with other countries such as Malaysia and Singapore! I’m very excited to test out the features of the game.
So far, there’s only 1 server for southeast Asia. If you’ve managed to pre-register for the game before hand, you’ll be getting special prizes. I unfortunately wasn’t able to do so. *sniffle*
Anyway, in my excitement, I wasn’t able to document the whole sign up process. Tsk.
Still I managed to record all the existing heroes and their skins. *SPOILER* No Batman, Superman and Wonder woman yet. Though I’m not sure if they will be released this year or any time soon.
For now, feast your eyes on the heroes of Arena of Valor!

Graphics and Sound
When you start the game, it sets your graphics settings to the lowest possible. I can’t fathom why mine was already in mid settings especially since I’m using a Samsung Galaxy Note phone. Still, the most common complaint I’ve seen is the graphics. At mid setting, the game looks like Diablo 2. However once you finished the tutorials and tweak the settings, you can see that it’s actually fluid. However the maps does look darker. Wish there was a way to bump up the brightness. Note, at full settings it’s going to strain your phone a lot.
The sound effects and music are good. Not that remarkable. I’m using Mobile to record the screen and it is even in internal record mode. I’m not sure why it sounds like that but in the game it’s actually smooth.
Gameplay
There are dozens of gaming modes in Arena of Valor. There’s even a Vainglory 3v3 map! The skills though is the same as Mobile Legends. There are 3 active skills and 1 passive. I did wish for skills like in Heroes Arena (4 active skills 1 passive) or in Heroes Evolved (4 active/passive skills). The game also has an Arcana or status boosters I’ve yet to see them though. However the best thing about this game is the next game mode which I’m so happy to see!
Training Mode
Finally! Developers who understand the needs of their gamers! In Arena of Valor, you don’t have to worry about spending in game cash or real cash to test a hero out. The training mode let’s you TEST the ALL OF THE HEROES. That’s what I’ve seen so far. No trials or anything, test all you want! It’s a great way to entice players to buy the heroes. However with the launch of the game you don’t need to be spending cash yet except to play with friends or just keep on playing.
Rewards and Giveaways
As expected of a newly launched game, Arena of Valor has a lot of freebies. Fortunately they’ve been VERY GENEROUS so far. Garena has set events to let you own almost 14 heroes! You get a hero for completing games with a friend (about 6 heroes) and you get heroes for every 3 games you’ve completed (another 6) plus the 2 free tutorial heroes you get. Very generous!
Now for me to destress from a hard week…
