Globe counters Smart Free Internet

After Manny Pangilinan's free Smart Internet announcement , Globe telecom quietly counters with the possible return of their popular free Facebook promo. Globe in partnership with Mark Zuckerberg last year initiated
the #FreeFacebook promo. 

Users register via 1234 to be able to browse the mobile website of Facebook or http://m.facebook.com. There were also reports of Globe users being able to use the FB app and FB messenger app while the promo was active. Users are able to upload pictures, view facebook profiles, update status and message other people using the 2G internet of Globe. To most casual web surfers, the free FB seems unlimited but selfie addicts quickly found out that the free FB service is capped at 100 mb a day.

The FB status of Globe Telecom hints only of the return of the popular free promo. No specific date has been released.
